Below is a brief biography of the adults at A Life Explored. All adults undertake an inducation when they join A Life Explored exploring A Life Explored's philosophy and approach to working with young people. All adults are linked to CALM training ensuring they are informed of the complexities of trauma in young people.
Malcolm Hamill - Residential Childcare Worker
Malcolm was born and bred in Fife and started his working life in Rosyth in the dockyard. He became interested in the Children's Hearing System and has progressed to be a panel chairman and trainer. Malcolm has been with A Life Explored since December 2009 and is qualified with both an HNC in Social Care and his SVQ 3. Apart from supporting young people Malcolm's other interests include politics, football, football and football.

Jaime Watson - Residential Childcare Worker
Jaime is the youngest member of the full time team. Jaime was raised in Falkirk and when he left school he worked for a large disability charity before joining A Life Explored in 2010. Jaime is qualified in SVQ 3 and is currently studying for his HNC in Social Care. He is also a foster carer and has been involved in fostering throughout his life as his mother is a foster carer. Jaime likes football, fashion and a bit of DIY around the house.

Laura Wallace - Residential Childcare Worker
Laura has studied to acheive an HND in Acting and Performance which led her to do Theatre in Education with Recogintion Theatre Company. Laura has experience in facilitating drama workshops around Scotland for all ages and abilities including work with FifeShed Theatre Company. Along with her HND Laura has acheived her Level 1 in Sign Language. Laura worked in retaill and banking before joining A Life Explored (Care) Ltd and brings with her a love of music and theatre.

Lesley Thompson - Residential Childcare Worker
Lesley joined the team after working in the recruitment industry for over twently years. Prior to working in recruitment she worked in Early Childhood Education. Over the years Lesley has been involved with a number of voluntary projects including working with young children and supporting adults who substance misuse. Lesley likes cooking, reading and music in her free time.

Laura Spencer - Residential Childcare Worker
Laura was born and raised in Fife. She joined A Life Explored in 2011 after embarking on working in the care industry a few years a go. Laura is currently studying for her HNC in Health and Social Care and SVQ 3. Laura enjoys baking and engaging young people in music.
Adele Walker - Residential Childcare Worker
Adele has worked in social care for the last 13 years, working in the residential setting for the last 6 years in Scotland and Australia. Adele is an advocate for Childrens rights and sits on a panel undertaking assessments on potential foster carers. Adele has her SVQ 3 and is currently undertaking her HNC in Social Care. Adele is commited to continuous professional development and learning to delvelop her skills in managing challenging behaviour in a theraputic manner. Adele is passionate about supporting young people to acheive.

Chelsea Young - Residential Childcare Worker
Chelsea has lived in Fife all her life. She has an HNC in Childcare and has experience of working in the nursery setting. Recently Chelsea returned to college to undertake an HND in Additional Support Needs. Chelsea continues to remain committed to further learning and is currently undertaking an SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care and is due to complete a BA in Learning Disabilitites in June. Cheslea is very passionate about education and believes that every young person should be supported and encouraged to acheive their goals.

Lisa joined A Life Explored back in December 2009 and is our longest serving sessional worker. At the same time as working for A Life Explored and full time in a nursery setting she has managed to fit in a post graduate degree in Childhood Practice. She has a degree in Art and Design, HNC in Early Childhood Education and SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care. Lisa's passion is to work creatively with children.
