    Each young person is an individual - let us help you to help yourself

    EXPECTATIONS:
    •  We expect young people to take part in the day to day routines in the house
    • You will have your own room, with a double bed and we expect you to keep your room tidy
    • We also expect to hear your veiws and for you to listen to other peoples
    • We expect you to work to your care plan
    POCKET MONEY:
    • Everyone gets £10 per week pocket money, We like you to look after your heath so if you don't smoke or take drugs including alcohol you will get £15 per week
    • We will help you to open a bank account so that your pocket money gets paid automatically into your account. You can access your account at the local bank or an ATM at any time
    ACTIVITIES:
    • We plan for you to be really quite busy
    • Football, swimming, going to the cinema, horse-riding etc. We have had young people driving the Sir Walter Scott and walking the West Highland Way. These are examples of activities young people have been involved in but we are sure you will have your own interests and we will help you to pursue them. Check out the gallery of photos
    • You will be encouraged to work out a weekly activity plan with the adults at A life Explored
    FAMILY AND FRIENDS:
    • Families are really important and we will try to keep you in contact with all the people who are important to you, as far as agreed in your care plan
    • You can phone, write and visit your family and friends as long as its part of your care plan
    • We will take you to your family and your family can come to visit for lunch or tea
    SCHOOL/EMPLOYMENT:
    • Attending school and work are really important for you to have a good future
    • It may be arranged for us to take you to school but we will do whatever we can to help you acheive at school
    • We will get work form school for you to do if you are not able to go
    INTERNET ACCESS
    •  We will encourage you to use the internet safely
    • You will have your own account and password on the PC
    • You can email you family and friends as long as its part of your care plan
    ACHEIVEMENTS
    • We will celebrate your acheivements
    • We will give you lots of opportunites to practice your skills in dicussion, negociation and compromise
    • We give young people incentives to achieve good things
